Originally from the planet Kamino, Boba Fett was the son of the noted bounty hunter Jango Fett. At first he appeared to helpthem, but he was actually working for Vader. Later, Fett ran into Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewbacca while they were stranded on Panna. This assignment also put Boba in competetion with Durge an ancient bounty hunter who held a nasty grudge against Mandalorians. Boba's first assignment for Jabba was hunting down and destroying a Neimoidian named Gilramos Libkath who had been stealing cargo from Jabba and selling it. It was under the employ of Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine that Boba got his break as a bounty hunter. These first few lonely years led Boba all across the galaxy from Aargau to Xagobah. It was on Geonosis that the Clone Wars began and the life of Jango Fett ended, at the hands of Mace Windu.Īfter his father's death, Boba began his journey in following in the elder Fett's footsteps. After barely escaping the two Fetts made their way to the rocky, desert planet of Geonosis. However, before leaving, Jango and Obi-Wan battled each other briefly with the Jedi nearly gaining the advantage had it not been for the intervention of Boba.
This tense encounter between the Jedi and the bounty hunter led Jango and Boba to make their way for a quick departure from the planet shortly afterwards. Taun We, the administrative assistant to Kamino's Prime Minister, Lama Su, introduced Obi-Wan to the source of the clone army, Jango Fett. To his surprise, Obi-Wan discovered a secret army of clones having been created for the Republic. However, his life took a dramatic change following the arrival of the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, who had come to Kamino to investigate an assassination attempt on the life of Senator Padme Amidala. While growing up on the ocean world of Kamino young Boba lived a carefree life reading books and dreaming of adventure just as any young boy does.
